Evaluation of the Efficacy of the Poly- L-Lactic Acid Thread and Platelet Rich Plasma in Treatment of Atrophic Scars

Background: Atrophic scars are the result of insufficient compensation dermal collagen and decreased production connective tissue during injury healing. The aim study was to evaluate efficacy Poly-L- Lactic Acid (PLLA )threads Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in treatment atrophic scar.
 Methods: This included 24 patients with scar for at least one year did not receive any last six months. Cases were divided into 3 equal groups: group (A) received subcision PLLA threads insertion, (B) insertion PRP. PRP injected monthly four sessions )C( injection sessions. general examination, detailed dermatological routine investigations, digital photography: Photographic evaluation done same equipment, lighting location by dermatologists, skin biopsies.
 Results: There a significant enhancement Global aesthetic improvement scale both A B than C (p=0.047, 0.017) respectively. In (A), there negative correlation between duration degree clinical (r -0.961/ p value<0.001) while (C), insignificant improvement.
 Conclusions: alone combined could be deemed as safe useful management scars.
